In order to enter a competition you must:

  1. click on the one you want to enter;
  2. answer an easy multiple choice question correctly;
  3. select the amount of tickets you want;
  4. tick the box to confirm that you accept our terms and conditions;
  5. and click enter to proceed with the check out.

You can also enter a competition for free using the free postal entry route. In order to enter for free you must follow the following instructions:
 
  1. On a paper, write:
    1. The name of the competition you are entering
    2. The correct answer to the multiple choice question of the competition you are entering
    3. Your name
    4. Your address
    5. Your phone number
    6. Your email address
    7. State that you accept our terms and conditions
  1. Mail the paper to the following address:
    Off-Grid Prizes, Dalton House, 35 Chester Street, Wrexham LL13 8AH

Each mailed paper counts as 1 entry, bulk entries are not accepted and if received will only count as 1 entry. Postal entries are limited to one per household per competition. 

  1. Register online on our website at https://offgridprizes.co.uk/my-account/ Once we have received your entry in the post we will add your ticket to your account online if you have answered the question correctly. You must register in order to qualify for the competition; if you do not register your entry will be ineligible.

Make sure that you give yourself enough time to mail your free entry to us and choose an adequate mailing service as any entries received after the competition close date will be ineligible.

If you are our winner we will contact you directly by phone and email within 7 days of the closing date. If you change any of your contact details prior to the closing date, you must inform us. We will try to contact you using the information you have supplied us with. If we cannot reach you within 14 days of the closing date we reserve the right to choose another winner and you will lose your right to claim the prize.

Each competition has set opening and closing time as specified on the competition’s page. If we have to change either of these dates for any reason, we will update the website accordingly. We will only change the dates if we have to for reasons outside of our control.

Each competition has a specified draw date and time. These can be seen on a specific competition’s page and on our Live Draw page. If tickets sell out before the competition ends, we may move the draw forward so that the winner can enjoy their prize sooner!

You must be 18 years old and over and a UK resident in order to enter a competition on our website.

We do not accept entries from anyone outside of these areas as the laws for running competitions vary. This competition has been organised to comply with the laws of England, and Wales.

Also, you cannot enter this competition if you are:

  1. employees of Off-Grid Prizes;
  2. employees of agents or suppliers of Off-Grid Prizes, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
  3. members of the immediate families or households of (a.) and (b.) above.

We reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of an equal or higher value if the prize is unavailable for any reason.

If you are the winner, the prize is yours and you can do whatever you want with it, including selling it.

No, this is not compulsory! However with your permission we would love to share your excitement on our website and social media pages. We really appreciate your permission to do so as this helps us promote our business and keep the competitions going which ultimately helps support the Woodland Trust, the heart of our business.

Even if you do not want to participate in any promotional exercises, we may have to provide your details to the Advertising Standards Authority to prove we have administered the competition and awarded the prize fairly.

Once you have checked out on our website you will receive an email confirming your purchase with your ticket numbers. If you answered incorrectly, the email will let you know. In this case, if your ticket number is selected during the draw, it will be ineligible and another number will be drawn until we land on a number which has answered the question correctly. You will not be entitled to a refund of your entry fees.

You are then free to try again by purchasing more tickets.

You can enter the competition as many times as you wish up to any limit we specify. Your entries may be restricted if we reach the maximum number of entries.

Whilst this isn’t gambling, we still urge you to keep this fun and not spend more than you can afford.

This varies from competition to competition. Each competition has a specified maximum number of tickets that one person can buy which is clearly indicated on the competition’s main page. Furthermore, our website will not let you purchase more than this maximum amount.

Once you have checked out on our website you will receive an email confirming your purchase with your ticket numbers. This normally takes 10-15 minutes to get in your mailbox. If you feel this is taking too long, make sure to check your spam folder. Login to your account and select my entries from the dropdown. Your ticket numbers will also be published on the competition’s Entry List.

The winner is selected at random on Facebook live using Google’s Random Number generator. If the number generated has not been sold, or if the number generated is attributed to someone who has answered the multiple choice question incorrectly, another number will be generated. A new number will be generated until we fall on a number attributed to a winner.

No you do not. The draws are held on Facebook live for transparency purposes and can be viewed after the draw has taken place at any time on our Facebook page or Live Draws page. If you’re our lucky winner we will contact you directly by phone and by email within 7 days of the closing date regardless. If we cannot reach you within 14 days of the closing date we reserve the right to choose another winner and you will lose your right to claim the prize.

The maximum number of entries is stated on each competition so your chances of winning will vary from competition to competition. Your odds are illustrated under the ticket selector on each competition page. Keep in mind that these odds are calculated based on the maximum number of tickets available for sale, therefore if not all tickets are sold your odds will be better than those illustrated. 

As an example, if entries are capped at a maximum of 3000, this means that if you purchase 1 entry and get the answer correct, your chances of winning will be no worse than 1 in 3,000. 

You can increase your chances of winning by purchasing more entries. For example, if you purchase 10 entries in the example above and you get the answer correct, your chances of winning will be no worse than 1 in 300.  

We say “no worse than” because we expect a significant number of people to get the answer to the question wrong. We cannot predict how many this will be but say 500 people got the answer wrong and they each purchased 1 entry each. Your chances of winning with a single correct entry will now improve to 1 in 2,500.

All of our competitions have a guaranteed draw date regardless of whether or not all available tickets sell out. This means that you are getting even better odds for your money, lucky you!

We need to use your data to administer the competition and award prizes. We do not use your data for any other purpose.

We do not share your data with any third parties unless this is necessary for administering the competition.

You have the right to opt out from us using your data at any time. However, if you do ask us to remove your details from our database prior to the closing date, you will be withdrawing from the competition. You will not be entitled to a refund of any entry fees you have paid.
